Hair Care Tip

 

You MUST take extra precautions when it comes to curly and kinky hair such as wrapping or braiding your head at night, protecting your hair depending on your daily leisure activities, and most importantly selecting the correct products that will contribute to the health and longevity of your curly hair.  The wrong products will leave your curls feeling dry and frizzy and too much oily or greasy products will result in extreme tangling

 

NIGHT TIME ROUTINE:

 

Get a spray bottle with approximately 3 parts water and 1 part conditioner and a capful of light oil, e.g. grape seed oil, jojoba oil, almond oil, ect.  Spray hair getting it slightly damp and comb from bottom up to detangle coils.  Separate hair and braid or twist, moisturized the ends some more with your spray bottle and twist or braids all the way down.

 

RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS:  Not all products suggested will give you the same results.  Please try more than one product until you are completely satisfied with the results.

DO NOT BRUSH, RUN YOUR FINGERS THROUGH, OR COMB CURLY WEAVE WHEN IT'S DRY:

Curly hair is more susceptible to breaking off when you run your fingers through it or try to comb in when dry.  Constantly touching your curly hair will eliminate the moisture and cause your hair to frizz

 

CO-WASH:  Conditioner Only Wash = CO-Wash

 

To refresh your curls and coils Co-washing is a great technique to infuse moisture back into the hair.  We strongly recommend for our curly hair you should do conditioner ONLY washes when you need to wash away product build-up.    It is perfectly okay to shampoo once a month BUT Co-Wash as many times as needed.  Always use large tooth comb and comb from bottom up.
